Excellent in every way

It is a very accurate scale when you use it on an even surface, like a tile and make sure that all legs touch the floor. Compared to tanita and other models I find this scale more accurate. This scale can even smooth the unavoidable random weight fluctuations by using moving averages on the iphone and web charts. The batteries last long - more than several months and I used it 4-5 times a day. Very easy to use web and iphone interface. This scale makes all other scales obsolete.

Withings

I have been using this scale for a few months now........

1. Very sleek design
2. The weight measurements are accurate
3. I have not been able to make much sense of the fat measurements though. I guess there are too many variables. The amount of water you have drunk before weighing, foot callusses, time of day.......so this might not be a very reliable way of measuring fat
4. The wireless access and online recording of your weight doesn't sound like a great feature to many; but once you get used to it, you really begin to appreciate it.
5. Fairly easy setup (I am a geek; so I refrain from saying 'very easy' because it doesn't mean it would easy for most people).
6. Nice choice of graphs for displaying the weight (weight/fat/muscle). An addition that Withings could provide is fields for entering the food consumed and exercise done for the day. I know that the same can be done after exporting the data to a spreadsheet. But it would be nice if we can have everything online and then export it.

Would I buy this again? - I wouldn't spend the money for the fat measurement; but I would spend the money for the weight recording and monitoring.

This is absoutely awesome but may give you a complex!

I love the fact that I can weigh in and have my weight tracked both on Withings and on Runkeeper. It is a real motivator to see it tracked and it is effortless. I have had a few other scales that I had to manually keep track of and I would do great at first, then I would forget to mark it down. This keeps me on track and the progress is dead simple to track. It was a bit shocking to see how many pounds of fat I was carrying. The BMI is great but seeing the fat in actual pounds is a real eye opener! I would buy this again for sure.

Good scale

I've had this scale for two months now and I definitely like it. It seems fairly accurate for weight measurement, but body fat fluctuates greatly. I go anywhere from 11-14% body fat in a single day. The web based tracking program is also good. I also dont know why people complain about the battery life, maybe it's out of their wifi range. My wife and I have used it every day for 2 months and the battery level is still at 86%. Overall, good scale and a far better purchase than the Tanita one I was planning on getting for double the price.

Inaccurate by about 5%

This scale is grossly inaccurate. If you take two different measurements within a couple minutes time, it will give you a different reading! For me, my weight varied from 210 lbs to 220 lbs. My Tanita weighs me in at 212 lbs consistently.

Other than +/- 5% accuracy, the wifi feature is cool and easy to use. I'll keep it for that.
