What's the point of ease of use without accuracy?

For people who don't want to mess with test strips, or want a very simple, easy procedure for testing their blood sugar, this meter is right on. However, if you want accurate test results, look elsewhere. The test results fluctuate wildly and are in no way reliable. I have taken multiple readings from the exact same sample within 5 seconds and had the results fluctuate 20 points. This has happened repeatedly. I would rather have a more difficult to use meter and actually have an idea of what my blood sugar is. What a waste of money.

Very easy to use

Got this meter, from my vet. ( I know, and odd place to get one!) My dog is an insulin dependent, diabetic and we need to start keeping track of his glucose levels. I was surprised at how easy it is to use. I was very apprehensive about taking blood samples from my dog but this took the fear out of it. He didn't seem to mind.(except for being in the vets office) I must admit that I don't have any experience with other meters. That being said, I feel that I am giving my dog the best possible care he can get.

THE MOST EASE

I SELECTED THE BREEZE2 FOR IT'S EASE. A STROKE 2 YEARS AGO HAS ME USING MY LEFT SIDE ONLY. I AM ABLE TO DO BLOOD TESTING WITH ONE HAND SIMPLY AND ACCURATELY. LARGE VISUAL ALLOWS ME TO SEE READING IN 5 SECONDS, NO PROGRAMING NEEDED, NO FUMBLING WITH STRIPS, AND THE AMOUNT OF SAMPLE IS VERY TINY COMPARED TO OTHER GLUCOMETERS.

Love the Product, Horrible packaging and shipping by seller

I currently have a Breeze 2 meter and love it. I had originally paid $120.00 for it a couple of years ago at a local store. So when i ran across this one for $9.00 i said to myself it was worth a try for a backup.

pro:
1: Nice Price.
2: Mine did arrive with a free testing strip disc.

cons:
1: arrived flatter than a pancake. i know this normally is not the sellers fault but in this case the way they packaged it i blame them.
2: The only box was the original box that the breeze 2 came in. it was not packaged into another box. just the one you see off the self.
3: the seller has a sense of humor. they wrapped it up with Christmas wrapping paper... Come-on. charge me a couple of bucks more for shipping and send it correctly. it was sent through
USPS and they give boxes for free.. save money on wrapping paper...
4: When testing it against my current one it reads 15 points higher in the sugars than my good one.

conclusion:
this is a tough one... im extremely disappointed in the packaging and shipping of the product. i have no idea if the compressing of the unit damaged the meter in anyway to cause the 15 point spike or if the meeter is bad. I felt like a got a Christmas gift re-wrapped. it looked new on the inside . for $9.00 if could be worth the gamble. That is if your willing to have it damaged like mine was. I don't think it was worth much more that what i paid for it. When i need another one i might just purchase it local so i am guaranteed that what im buying will turn out to be in good shape.

INCOMPATIBLE SOFTWARE FOR WINDOWS 7

Nov 17, 2009: After ordering and paying for the data cable and software, I was advised by Bayer's Customer Service that their software is not compatible with Windows 7, and they have no idea when/if it will be. So if you intend to use the meter and your computer to maintain records, avoid this device. One of the more clueless customer service reps I've ever dealt with.
