Excellent product, unbelievable price!

I have been a user of Tanita products for about ten years now, buying my first Tanita bodyfat monitor in late 2000. I was looking into buying one for a friend that was trying to get back in shape and decided to buy two, even though my (now ten years old) unit was fine, mostly because the new units have hydration and my wife was interested in that feature, and they are so inexpensive i thought it worth a shot. I am super pleased with the new monitor and can't believe they can sell it for around $30. The unit is programmable for only two people rather than four as my older unit was, but frankly two was all we needed. I don't think anyone will be displeased with this purchase, even at $60 or $80 dollars i would be happy with the product, at $30 i think everyone who is watching their fitness should have one!

Excellent weight/body fat scale

I bought this scale to replace one I had for about 12 years. This is definitely an upgrade. It powers up quickly and seems to be fairly acurate when measured against the equipment at the Dr's office.

Tanita BF680W Duo Scale - Inaccurate At Higher Weights

This scale does fine at lower body weights, but is totally inaccurate at higher weights (240 lbs. +). It has absolutely no repeatable accuracy! You can weigh yourself 10 times in a row, and get 8 different weights, varying as much as a pound! The body fat feature is a joke! Buy a cheaper scale - save some money.

Works well

It has worked very well and much better than my previous body fat scale that erred out constantly. This one works great but you need to follow the instructions carefully and take measurements at a consistent time of day, otherwise your body fat can fluctuate as much as 5-8%. Lots of great info on their webpage as well

Seems pretty accurate

This scale seems to give really similar weights to the one at my gym and while the body fat calculation seems to come back a bit high it is fairly consistent as well and serves as a good guideline.
